Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya

Mumbai is one of the cities in our country where people with different tastes and interests can keep exploring it for all their varied pursuits. It’s great for art, history and architecture, just a few to mention among many other things. One such great place in this maximum city is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum of Western India.

It is one of the best art and history museums in India. Its collection is so great and varied that it can keep you occupied for quite a reasonable time, especially if you are a history buff. It has various galleries to take on exotic journeys across the seas. The Museum building, a Grade I Heritage building, is a fine example of the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture and houses a world-class collection of over 60,000 art objects.

wonderful. I was in Jodhpur in Oct.a guide with a few foreigners described DURGA as KAALI. I corrected him, he said what difference does it make. In a way he is correct after all there is ONLY ONE SUPREME BEING.
